DENVER – The Colorado Rockies activated outfielder Scott Podsednik from the 15-day disabled list Friday and optioned catcher Adam Melhuse to Triple-A Colorado Springs.
Podsednik missed 23 games after being placed on the DL with a fractured left pinkie finger on July 28. He is hitting .263 with one home run and 15 RBIs in 75 games this season.
Melhuse was recalled on Aug. 14 but did not appear in any games for the Rockies. The 36-year-old Melhuse signed a minor league free-agent contract with the Rockies on June 24.
