Trout stocks go on despite legal block

There has been some confusion regarding local trout stocking following the Department of Fish and Game's decision to stop in San Diego County after losing a lawsuit that attacked the state's fish stocking program.
Even though the DFG did not stock trout this week, management at Cuyamaca, Dixon, Jennings, Poway and Santee Lakes have stocked and have permits from the DFG to continue stocking on their own. Trout stocking and fishing will go on there and at Wohlford and Lake Morena next month.
