Paying tolls beats flying for Michaels

Never has someone been so eager to pay a $4.50 highway toll.

Sometime this morning, as he heads south from his Los Angeles home toward San Diego, Al Michaels will gladly surrender that amount to the attendant at the Catalina View Toll Plaza on the San Joaquin Hills Toll Road.

Schmid's career comes full circle in MLS Cup: Sigi Schmid was fired as coach of the Los Angeles Galaxy in August 2004 over lunch.
