Shelby Wong's goal with 6:44 left in the second overtime lifted the No. 3-seeded UCSD women's soccer team past No. 6 BYU-Hawaii 1-0 in the first round of the NCAA West Regional last night at Seattle Pacific.
“(Wong) kept her head about her and didn't panic,” Tritons coach Brian McManus said. “It was one of those games. It was the same thing when we played them over there (a 1-0 UCSD win last year).”
The Tritons (15-3-4) face No. 2 Seattle Pacific at 1 p.m. tomorrow.
